A practical masterclass on lobbying: how do we move from reactive protest to strategic, systemic
lobbying?
In a changing political landscape, lobbying for culture is no longer optional, but essential. Yet many artists, collectives and institutions feel disconnected from the processes that determine cultural policy. How do we move from reactive protest to strategic, systemic influence?
This masterclass offers a practical guide to lobbying: what is it, how does it work in the Netherlands and how can actors organise themselves more effectively? Traditional lobbying structures are unraveled, grassroots and creative lobbying tactics are explored and practical tools are provided to build influence locally, nationally and sector-wide.
Participants will go home with a better understanding of how to defend their sector and create lasting change from within.
This session is led by Mara van Waveren and Nanja van Rijsse from Stichting Lobby Lokaal
